Organized by the Thurgood Marshall College Fund, the 27th Annual Awards Gala
was held this month at the Washington Hilton in Washington, D.C. This year’s theme “Developing Minds … Delivering Dreams” was felt by all guests celebrating the achievements of the country’s foremost visionaries who have had positive impact on
not only education, but also the lives of students and Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs). The black tie gala hosted by Robin Roberts, co-anchor of ABC’s “Good Morning America,” welcomed nearly 1,500 guests which we checked-in
sans paper throughout the evening.

Talented entertainment was provided by Andra Day and V.Bozeman, as well as
Reed LoRenzo Shannon who sang the National Anthem. The audience, honorees, hosts, presenters, and performers came together to celebrate the achievements of the country’s foremost visionaries who have used their status to impart a positive impact on the
lives of these students and publicly-supported HBCUs.

Having worked with the TMCF on various events, CheckIn Tech would like to congratulate this non-profit organization on another fantastic gala in which all proceeds from the event enable the organization to continue its work as a critical link between
students getting the most from their education.
